Historical Chateau Rentals Bordeaux A visit of Sentout... part II by Suzy Nickson |
|

But Sentout is more than just it's buildings; the woods that surround
the Chateau are sanctuary to squirrels, owls, hoopoes and butterflies. Lizards bask on the
sunny walls just as they did in the time of Henri IV.
The gardens, in turn formal and natural give each apartment a space of its own, allowing
guests to enjoy their privacy whilst being part of Sentout as a whole.

At the centre of Sentout is the private home of Gérard and Mary the man and his wife who re-built the Chateau from an almost ruin. Over the last 30 year, Gerard and Yejo have painstakingly restored Chateau Sentout using original materials and paying meticulous attention to detail. The plasterwork in the drawing room and it's intricate wooden floor were both restored by hand.
