| Hello, I'm Elizabeth Shin from Los Angeles, California. Last winter, I stayed at "Chateau Sentout" for four months from mid November to mid March and thoroughly enjoyed living there. I was able to work through the Internet, teaching communications, critical thinking, logistics, and literature courses for the University of Phoenix, Online Campus. The serene and beautiful enclave of Chateau Sentout provided a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility often rare to find. The beauty of the place and the hospitality of the proprietors, Gerard and Mary make Chateau Sentout a touching place with a very special charm. Bonjour, Je m'appelle Elisabeth Shin et je viens de Los Angeles, Californie. L'hiver dernier, j'ai séjourné avec beaucoup de plaisir au "Chateau Sentout" pendant quatre mois, du 15 novembre au 15 mars. J'ai exercé mon activité d'enseignement gràce à Internet, en enseignant les communications, la réflexion critique, la logistique et des cours de littérature pour le compte de l'université de Phoenix, "Online Campus". La serénité et la beauté du site du chateau m'a procuré une sensation merveilleuse de paix et de tranquilité, difficile à trouver ailleurs. | We are two
scientist from Germany: Profs. Werner Schmidt and Paul Galland. So far we stayed two times 14 days each at "Chateau Sentout", the first time in March, the second time in Oct. 2002 - and hope to come back again soon. Here we had the ideal conditions to grow and prepare our plants and fungi for the flights. The beautiful and calm environment allowed us to have long walks and discussions in our spare time and the close village supplied all our shopping. |
Wir sind zwei
Wissenschaftler aus Deutschland: Profs. Werner Schmidt und Paul Galland - haben bislang
zwei Mal 14 Tage im "Chateau Sentout" gewohnt, im März, und Okt. 2002. Wir haben hier unsere wissenschaftlich-biologisch orientierten Parabolflüge, die von Novespace in Merignac/Bordeaux durchgeführt werden, in großer Ruhe hervorragend vorbereiten können: Sterile Anzucht von Pilzen und Pflanzenkeimlinge. Ansonsten bot uns das Umfeld Möglichkeit zu täglichen langen Spaziergängen und Diskussionen. Das nahe Dorf liefert alles für die Selbstversorgung. |
Nous sommes deux
scientifiques Allemands: Prof. Werner Schmidt et Prof. Paul Galland. Nous sommes
jusqu'alors venus deux fois au "Château Sentout", la première en mars et la
seconde en octobre 2002 et nous espérons y revenir bientôt. Ici, nous avons trouvé les conditions idéales pour faire pousser et pour préparer nos plantes et champignons en vue d'étudier leur comportement en apesanteur. La beauté et le calme environnants nous ont permis d'avoir de longues promenades et discussions pendant nos moments de repos et le village tout proche nous a permis tout le "shopping" nécessaire. |
