Château Sentout

This area is quite di-vine, after vine, after wine.

Ch. Sentout is a wonderful place to unwind and relax.

Mr & Me Peltier are two exceptional people who are always willing to assist you to make the most of your stay.

Make of your surrounding what you will but most of all anjoy it all.

We hare like the old grape vines; our roots grow deeper each time we come to Sentout. We have enjoyed our month here. It is an especially beautiful season to visit: good weather, the attractions are not crowded. This is like a second home for us.

Our second visit to Château Sentout. We enjoy the facilities and history so much here. We have friends who have a winery in the Castillon region, who we also visited.

St Emilion is a must to see, and plan on spending the best part of the day, wandering the streets and caves there.

Gerard & Mary are wonderful hosts. We will return.

Marlene & Gordy Grochau, Portland, Oregon USA.

There are just a few places in the world which we will bear always in mind and be our destination in the future, chateau Sentout is one of them.

Many thanks to Mary and Gerard for this wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

We have been very comfortable here, with wineries just round the corner and lust green scenery all around. The Dune du Pilat was a must, definitely climb to the top. The ruins of the Abbey were fantastic. The weather has been a bit wet but we did pick a great day to go to the beach. We did find that we needed to eat in because we were a bit far out of town but the Atlantic Salmon was great.

P.S. It would make life easier if basic cooking ingredients such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper and oil were provided.

Michael & Jean, Werribee, Australia.

Château Sentout, what a wonderfully relaxing place in a gorgeous area of the Gironde. We came for a friends wedding in St Caprais de Bordeaux then stayed for one week holiday. So glad, we found this place to stay. Shame about the weather – unfortunately can’t be ordered! Where hoping to spend long warm evenings outside. They ended up being cosy ones inside at The Pigeonnier !

Lovely safe place for children; fab. gardens. Thank you  for the baby equipment, especially the stair gate !

Visited Bordeaux city, St Emilion, Cap Ferret…

Would recommend l’Auberge du bassin restaurant right on the beach overlooking the bay J.

Many thanks to Mary and Gérard for making us so welcome at their beautiful château.

Gilly, Hans & Mattys (13 months !), Bristol, UK.

Arrived to 2 days of rain then, glorious weather. Châteaux Sntout-what a fabulous place- up to all my expectations + more. Such a beautiful place in the world.

We are a family of four, + all have a lovely time.

Gerard +Mary made us very welcome and are such nice people. The highlight for me, just to name a few: 1- Visit to Jean-Louis vineyards, I feel I know more about vineyards + wine than I have ever known, what a nice guy. 2- The dunes + beach at Arcachon. 3- St Emilion and surrounding area 4- Bordeaux, but avoid the motorway around Bordeaux between 5 – 7.30 pm, nightmare, it’t like the M1.

Château Sentout is a lovely place to stay, very relaxing with a very scenic drive on the way here. The badminton court and the swimming pool were a great bonus; Would definitely come here again. Thanks, Gerard and Mary.

Thank you Gerard and Mary for having us to stay at your beautiful chateau. We have been here 4 nights and don’t want to leave…in fact our daughter wants to live her forever.

We have travelled a lot recently but have never seen such a well equipped kitchen for starters as well as all the extras for children. We made good use of the pool and swings.

We loved Bordeaux city and St Emilion but if you go anywhere, avoid 12-2:30 as everything is closed.

A week we not forget.

July 3, 2009

We have had a lovely week here at Château Sentout. A couple of thunder storms,

but apart from that, sunshine and warm weather all the time. Many bottles of great Bordeaux wine have been drunken and the food was excellentJ. In between, soccer matches, badminton and bicycling through the vine ranks.

Thank you very much for a great stay!

8th  to 15th August 2009

What a great place ! the weatherwas fantastic. The welcome by the owners was really appreciated. We came by train and hired cars from the Gare St Jean.

A lake discovery was the water-skiing club just down the hill. Our teenagers could have happily spent the week and all our money there ...

Looking forward to coming back in the future,

Alison, Juliet, Jamie, Sophie, Molly, Alex. Hicks & hawks from England.

Canoeing on the Ciron river, was cool in trees even on hot days. Chateau Cazeneuve.

Aqualand for kids only, Arcachon was good for a meal after our walk on the beach.

Really happy to have discovered Chateau Sentout.

We have had a fantastic week, simply relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of a stunning Chateau.

Always lots to do for the kids and even the beach wasn’t that far away.

Will certainly be back to stay again and discover more of the region.

Thank you.

Ah ! Quel beau château !

Félicitations aux propriétaires

pour leur accueil et pour avoir su

rendre une âme aux vieilles pierres

avec beaucoup de goût.

We have had a lovely time at Château Sentout. It is a fantastic building and we have felt very welcome and relaxed. Bordeaux is a brilliant city with lots of history and well worth the visit. Also, St Emilion is very nice with great places to eat. We have learned lots about wine and the place itself and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Gerard and Mary have been very friendly and welcoming and would like to thank them for all they have done for us and for making our stay very relaxing.

Rebecca + Lindsey, Glasgow.
